TBS introduces SHUR/Mark® PLUS, the latest generation
of SHUR/Mark® labelers.
Improving on the technology that the world
has come to expect from the original SHUR/Mark®
Cassette and Slide Labelers, SHUR/Mark® PLUS offers many added
enhancements. |
|
 |
| SHUR/Mark® PLUS Options |
 |
SHUR/Mark® PLUS comes in three different
models; SHUR/Mark® PLUS Cassette (SMP-C),
SHUR/Mark® PLUS Slide (SMP-S) and SHUR/Mark® PLUS
Combination (SMP-CS). |

| SHUR/Mark® PLUS
Package |
 |
| Each instrument includes an internal computer with
Windows® operating system, color LCD membrane touch
screen, keyboard, bar code reader, 6 position dispensing
hopper, collection hopper, formatting & networking
software and Ethernet connectivity. Simply plug in the
instrument and realize the benefits immediately. Each
SHUR/Mark® PLUS instrument includes
a 6 position-dispensing hopper to allow for various colors. |
 |
| Non-Contact Ink Jet-Technology |
 |
| Using a proprietary non-contact ink-jet technology,
SHUR/Mark® PLUS eliminates the need
for earlier generation mechanical hopper dispensing mechanisms
and mechanical x/y/z plotter hardware. A dependable conveyor
system transports cassettes and slides across a fixed
position ink jet-head. Mechanical headaches are the thing
of the past, and, labeling is quieter than mechanical
systems. |
 |
| Easy LIS Access |
 |
| SHUR/Mark® PLUS
completes the data integrity loop by further minimizing
user interaction. Through built-in serial and Ethernet
ports, data from an LIS (Laboratory Information System)
can easily be sent to SHUR/Mark® PLUS.
Cassettes and slides can then be printed in an 'attended'
mode or an 'unattended' mode. Ethernet connectivity even
offers remote diagnostic capabilities. |
 |
| Custom Printing Options Are Unlimited |
 |
| Printing with SHUR/Mark® PLUS offers
all of the advantages of Windows software such as the
range of print sizes, italics, different font types, bold
or underlined characters, the ability to prints images
(logos), etc., and for the first time, bar codes can actually
be printed on cassettes and slides. |
